French Macarons in Manila!

Who wouldn't go gaga for them right? I saw them first on Tumblr then I saw it on Gossip Girl to the movie, Marie Antoinette.

Blair Waldorf loves munching on French Macarons!

Marie Antoinette, portrayed by Kirsten Dunst,
also has a sweet tooth in her self-titled movie.

I really don't know anything about French Macarons before but because of their cute appearance and frequent exposures on TV and the internet, I got so interested about it. I googled up some bakeshops or restaurants in Metro Manila just to taste this little cute cookies. Most shops/patisseries that macarons can be found are located in Japan, South Korea, USA, England and of course, France. But I really want to have some so I searched again then I saw a website whose owners make French Macarons. I was going to try it unfortunately they don't deliver their products. I thought that was the last chance of having a macaron experience but...

Me and my friends were strolling around Greenbelt 2 in Makati last Friday and I saw the cutest things on Earth. When I saw them, there was no second thought of buying even if I was in a shortage that time! It was a dream come true! Praise God! Bizu Patisserie (http://www.bizupatisserie.com/home) offers a lot of pastries and everything is too cute to say no to.

I only bought two: Lemon & Mint. They were so delicate on the outside that I was too afraid to put it in my bag because they crack easily. The colors are so bright! They were not too sweet that's why they are addicting. Crunchy on the outside, chewy inside. The fillings are awesome!
I didn't know that the pink one was the rose flavor, I thought it was strawberry. :)  Per piece is 45 pesos but it's worth it! I promise! I will go back to Bizu and buy a set of 28. There is a variety of flavors namely vanilla, rose, raspberry, pistachio, mango, lemon, coffee, chocolate, chocolate mint, butterscotch & blueberry.

Aside from Macarons, they also offer a wide range of French gâteaux and other pastries. In which I promised myself to try when I return.

I was the happiest woman on that day! I can't wait to go back immediately!

Panda hug! -Dana
